Our Unique Location
Our home New Zealand (Māori: Aotearoa) is a country in the southwestern Pacific Ocean consisting of 2 main islands, North Island (Te Ika-a-Māui) and the South Island (Te-Waipounamu) and around 600 smaller Islands with a combined landmass of 268,021 km² and a population of around 4.9 million people.
Marked by volcanoes, powerful Techtronic geothermal energies. These powerful forces of nature have cleaved some of the most stunning mountains, scenery, glaciation. Created homes for natural wildlife on land and in our marine environment that surrounds our home.
On our eastern coastline is the Pacific Ocean and on our Western coastline is the mighty Tasman Sea. They meet in the north at Cape Reinga and Slope Point in the south, where Bluff is the nearest town and home to the famous Bluff Oysters.
Our closest neighbour Australia is 2000km’s off our Western shoreline.
Our home is uniquely isolated and due to our remoteness, it was one of the last lands to be settled by humans. Because of our unique period of isolation, New Zealand developed a distinct biodiversity of animal, fungal, and plant life.
A developed country, New Zealand ranks highly in international comparisons of national performance, such as quality of life, health, education, protection of civil liberties, and economic freedom.
We live in an exciting time for learning and education. Our team has been fortunate to be empowered by science and knowledge. We know that we must protect through eco-sustainability and to be productive with all resources for our human survivability.
